UPRTOU Admission

The admission process at Uttar Pradesh Rajarshi Tandon Open University is in online mode. Applicants who wish to apply for admission are required to visit the website and submit an application form.

The minimum eligibility for undergraduate courses is class 12 with not less than 50% marks. Applicants with a graduate degree in relevant discipline with minimum required marks are eligible to apply for masters courses.

Admission to MBA, MCA, and B.Ed programs are made through National level Entrance Examinations and University conducts Entrance examinations while for the rest of the programs, admission is made on the basis of merit in the pre-qualifying examination.

Applicants seeking admission to the MBA program need to appear for CAT, MAT, CMAT exam. While for B.Ed., the university conducts its own exam. Shortlisted candidates on the basis of their marks are considered for admission.

UPRTOU MBA And MCA Admission 2020

U.P. Rajarshi Tandon Open University (UPRTOU) offers MBA and MCA degree programs at the postgraduate level. The MBA program is provided with four specializations. The University also offers MCA lateral entry program apart from regular MCA.

Candidates who have completed graduation degree in any discipline are eligible to apply for the M.B.A. program. Admission to the M.B.A. is done through Management Entrance Test (MET) which is conducted by the university or scores obtained in MAT / CAT / CMAT / any other recognized test during the last one year.

Admission to the MCA program is done through an Entrance examination conducted by the university. However, candidates need to hold a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with Mathematics to be eligible for the MCA program.

UPRTOU PG Admission 2020

In addition to the MBA and MCA programs, the University offers various courses at the postgraduate level in the fields of Arts, Science, Commerce, Library and Information Science, Journalism etc. The course duration for the Master’s in Journalism (M.J.), Master’s in Library & Information Science (M.Li.I.Sc.) is one year. All the other PG level regular courses are offered for a duration of two years.

The M.A. course is offered with 12 different specializations and the M.Sc. course is offered with three different specialization subjects.

Admission to all the PG courses is based on the merit of the candidates in the previous qualifying examinations.

U.P. Rajarshi Tandon Open University offers B.A., B.Com., B.Sc., BBA, BCA, B.Li.I.Sc, B.Ed. degree programs at the UG level. The course duration for the regular UG courses is three years, whereas, the course duration for the B.Li.I.Sc. and B.Ed programs are one and two years respectively.

Admission to the B.Ed program is done through an Entrance test conducted by the university, The marks obtained by the candidates in the entrance exam along with the marks obtained in the previous qualifying examination are taken into consideration while preparation of the final merit list for the B.Ed. course. Admission to rest of the undergraduate programs are based on the merit of the candidates in the previous qualifying examination, therefore, candidates are not required to appear for any entrance test.

UPRTOU Diploma And PG Diploma Admission 2020

U.P. Rajarshi Tandon Open University offers various Diploma courses at both UG and PG levels. The Diploma courses are offered under diversified subjects and specializations. The duration period of the Diploma and Post Diploma courses is one to three years.

Admission to the Diploma and Postgraduate Diploma courses are based on the merit of the candidates in the previous qualifying examinations. No entrance test is conducted for admission to these courses.
