St. Xavier's College Admission Process

The recipients are required to get them registered first by filling an application form, which must be submitted by the date notified by the college. Late application forms are not accepted. Also, only the recipients who have submitted the duly filled form before the due date are considered for admission. Admission to the majority of the programmes is done on the basis of the marks of the candidates in the qualifying degree. However, the college conducts an entrance exam for several courses.

The applicants of Bachelor in Mass Media and Bachelor in Management Studies have to take an entrance test conducted by the college. The seat allotment in these courses will be done based on both entrance exam scores (60%) and 12th board aggregate (40%).

Admission to BSc (IT) is based on the marks secured by the candidate in Mathematics in the board examinations of Class 12th. For all the other undergraduate programmes, the applicants are required to present the 12th board exam pass Certificate.

The candidates seeking admission in postgraduate programmes must possess a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification. The college offers eight seats for PhD, which includes three for Botany, three for Chemistry and two for Life Science candidates. NET, SET or PET qualified candidates are eligible for PhD admissions.
